Cody Pace Gould Cody is 13 years old and is the main dream master of Island17, which he named and storyboarded, and consults on within the Jedi Council DAO. He loves gaming, animals and sports. Cody mostly loves creating and leading games - both in real life, and in the virtual world. He is helping create a Dream Tank virtual global game to address the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals that includes social impact, achievement-based rewards including micro and digital currency components. During the summer of 2020, he worked with 2 mentors to build the first and only youth-created virtual reality burning man camp on the Metaburn bridge experience; one of the recognized virtual worlds of the burning man metaverse. He appeared on the Replenish Earth livestream about his experience and predictions for what youth are capable of to change the world! With the mentorship of Dream Tank, Cody, along with a group of students at his school applying their community service requirements to work with a state senator and launch Plastic Free Colorado - a youth initiative to ban single use plastics and styrofoam in Colorado. Cody also recently launched his first youtube gaming channel, MysticEmberPlayz, where he games for fun and social connection. Cody has been described as a rambunctious, exuberant yet deep and gentle soul who disrupts the status quo and shines a light on what needs to be changed in our society.
In 2021, Cody made this video about how he created the Dream Tank Portal for Burning Man which evolved into Island17. It was inspired by a boy, Hayden Hunstable, who took his own life 5 days before his 13th birthday in 2020, weeks into the pandemic lockdown. A year later, the family later reached out to us and asked to help contribute to mental health for teens and SDG3. Cody led a kindness challenge to help teens Hayden’s age get the help they need.
